- 1 cup unsalted butter, browned
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup crushed peppermint bark
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350F (175C) and line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, stirring until browned and nutty; let it cool slightly.
- Beat browned butter with brown and granulated sugars until smooth.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until the batter is glossy.
- Sift in the flour and baking soda, folding gently with a spatula until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips, peppermint bark, and white chocolate chunks.
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 22-25 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
- Cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before slicing into squares.
