Description
A comforting, slow-cooked version of the classic Southern fried apples. Tender, cinnamon-spiced apple slices in a rich, buttery brown sugar glaze.

- 3 lbs Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Toss sliced apples with lemon juice in a large bowl.
- Transfer apples to the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over the apples and toss to coat.
- Dot the top with cubed butter.
- Cover and cook on Low for 4 hours.
- Optional: Cook on High for the final 30 minutes to thicken the syrup.
