- 2 salmon fillets (6oz each)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, smashed
- 1/2 fresh lemon, juiced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Place salmon skin-side down and sear for 4-5 minutes without moving.
- Flip the fillets and cook for 2-3 minutes more.
- Add butter and smashed garlic to the pan, allowing butter to brown and foam.
- Spoon the brown butter over the salmon for 2 minutes of basting.
- Stir in lemon juice and fresh parsley, then remove from heat immediately.
- Plate the salmon and drizzle the remaining brown butter sauce over the top.
