Description

A fusion appetizer featuring golden-fried wonton wrappers shaped into mini taco shells and filled with savory, seasoned ground chicken.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground chicken in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked.
  2. Stir in taco seasoning and water, simmering until the liquid has reduced and the meat is coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F.
  4. Fry wonton wrappers one by one, using tongs to curve them into taco shapes, until golden brown (about 30 seconds).
  5. Drain the shells on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  6. Spoon the seasoned chicken into each shell.
  7. Top with shredded cabbage, sour cream, jalapeño, and cilantro.
  8. Serve immediately with lime wedges.
