  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (plus extra for serving)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, spinach, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Stuff each shell with about one tablespoon of the cheese mixture and place them in the dish over the sauce.
  6. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
