- 12 large pasta shells
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup marinara sauce (plus extra for serving)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, spinach, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Stuff each shell with about one tablespoon of the cheese mixture and place them in the dish over the sauce.
- Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
