  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Pulse flour, 1 cup butter, and brown sugar in a processor until sandy; press into a lined pan and bake at 350F until pale gold.
  2. Sauté diced apples with cinnamon and cornstarch until translucent and thickened.
  3. Melt granulated sugar in a pot until amber, then whisk in heavy cream and 4 tbsp butter until smooth.
  4. Spread apple mixture over pre-baked crust and pour salted caramel on top.
  5. Top with remaining crumble and bake for 25 minutes until golden.
  6. Cool completely for 2 hours before slicing into bars.
