- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup whole milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place a 9×9 inch baking dish in the oven for 5 minutes to heat.
- Remove the hot dish and add 1/2 cup butter, allowing it to melt completely.
- In a bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa powder, and 1 teaspoon baking powder.
- Stir in 1 cup milk until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish; do not stir.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and the edges are set.
- Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
