Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Red food coloring
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
- Stir together melted butter and granulated sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
- Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Fold gently with a spatula until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Remove from oven and allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
- Beat softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and red food coloring; mix until fluffy.
- Spread the red velvet frosting evenly over the cooled brownies using an offset spatula.
- Pipe a spiral of melted white chocolate from the center to the edges. Use a toothpick to drag lines from the center outward to create the spider web effect.
