  • 1 cup canned kidney beans, drained
  • 1 cup canned black beans, drained
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet, breaking it apart.
  3. Sauté onion and garlic until softened.
  4. Add corn, beans, spices, and tomato sauce; simmer 10 minutes.
  5. Whisk flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, salt, eggs, milk, and butter into a batter.
  6. Spread chili in a greased baking dish, pour batter on top, bake 30‑35 min.
  7. Rest 10 min, then serve with grated cheese on top.
