Ingredients

  • 1 cup all‑purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole‑wheat flour
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano (optional)
  • 1 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Activate yeast with warm water, honey, and yeast; let sit 5 minutes until foamy.
  3. Sift the flours, salt, baking powder, and oregano together in a bowl.
  4. Combine the yogurt and olive oil with the foamy yeast mixture.
  5. Add wet ingredients to dry, knead until dough forms.
  6. Shape into four balls; press thumb for a hole.
  7. Let rise 15 minutes, then bake 20–23 minutes until golden.
  8. Cool on wire rack before serving.
